"The highest point of pure thought is MATHEMATICS." - PLUTO
Mathematics had always been my favorite subject during my school days - I loved solving problems especially the solve for x. Calculations was natural to me and it got better the more I did math - I was curious to know the number of thing I would have done by the end of the day. Time has been a gift from the day I was born to my first exam I wrote about learning the time of the clock - seconds, minutes, and hours. The combination of the three developed the way that I think today - Mathematics identify the problem to be solved while Calculations will soon reveal the possibilities and Time is always there as a witness.
The truth is we use mathematics skills everyday of our lives but not all of us get to the resolution. Whether you excelled or sucked in math during your studying is out of question. Math should be used by everyone for everything in my opinion because the results are factual - be negative or positive - a result is a result. We hold some conversations that leads us to calculating risks and there we need to make a calculative decision. We plan for our future in time with hopes that the future with me in our favor and better than the last time - Times change. Lately, we are so focused on our healthy lifestyles that we need to get points and be made aware of the heart rate and achieve those set goals.
What is stopping us from using the same Math to set and achieve our goals? I can tell you that even if we sucked in Maths in your school days, that is not an excuse. Math tells us that if you spend enough time on what you desire, you will gain value in time. Your desires here being your goals, ambition, and dreams. Only a few people provide a specific answer if they are ask what their goals are and could even pull a plan that will lead them to gold, the rest have their goals hanging in the air just like their Mathematics problems. We have a lot of people who would like to write books but haven't started, if they started they don't know the end of the book they would like to or are writing. Financially, some people would like to have a million in their bank account and it only remain as a dream that they would win a lottery one day, similar with buying a car or getting a better position in your job, etc... Let's take the writing of a book example.Goal - Writing a book
Questions to answers: - Q: How long would you like to finish the book? A: One Year or 365 days Q: What are you going to write about? A: Choose your topic and do research on the topic, if you haven’t done so. Q: What is the title of the book? A: A title must be in accordance with your target market. Once you have all the answers in place you can now start writing your book, but you have to write your book in a calculation manner.- Write minimum of one page everyday – this will ensure that your book will have at least 365 pages while an average book is about 200 to 250 pages.
- Review the page you have written – you get a chance to correct spelling mistakes and grammar, you can even get someone to read and edit your work, preferably after you’ve written a chapter.
- Get ideas of the cover of your book – The cliché, “Don’t judge the book by its cover.” Doesn’t work here. The cover of the book sells. There was a book that sold a lot of copies with a title, “How to fix your WIFE” Instead of “How to fix your LIFE” That mistake worked. But choose wisely.
